Opportunity to work from home in Greece for an international consulting firm
A consulting firm in the UK is looking for graduates interested in construction and consulting to join our dispute resolution practice. Our firm specialises in analysing complex construction projects, to identify problems and provide answers for dispute resolution purposes in adjudication, arbitration and dispute board proceedings.
The junior Consultant will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the firms Dispute Teams service provisions, both quantum and delay and both during the pre- and post-crystallisation stages. Depending on the size, nature and complexity of the commission, the Junior Consultant will be expected to either assist the commission team or work alone on discrete tasks, with support, as and when required. The Junior Consultant will assist in the quantification of claims for costs and damages and will be able to provide clearly presented work and provide or assist in the provision of written reports in support of their findings.
The junior Consultant will have opportunities to work with teams in the preparation of Expert reports. The Junior Consultant would generally be to assist in evidence gathering, data collection, and quantification of the claims arising, but would also have the opportunity to assist with the drafting of the Expert reports. It is expected that the Junior Consultant will be driven and self-motivated and will be able to provide support to the Senior Consultants and Associate Directors.
Desired Skills and Experience
Recent graduate or upcoming graduate of Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Strong IT skills including MS word and excel
Professional level in English. French or Spanish will be considered a plus
Some knowledge of, or a desire to be active in, the construction industry
Possibly technical experience in Project Planning
Personal and professional integrity
Articulate and enthusiastic with an attention to detail
Self-driven, determined with a strong sense of personal responsibility
You will probably have an inquisitive and analytical mind and be able to demonstrate good problem-solving skills
