«Oceangold Tankers Inc. seeks to recruit a Performance Engineer to establish company’s Performance Department.
 
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Naval or Mechanical Engineering
Excellent command of using computer systems
Excellent use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong data analytics skills (good knowledge of Python, Matlab and BI tools)
Previous experience in a similar position will be considered an asset

 
Responsibilities:

Monitoring and evaluation of vessels’ performance through noon reporting and data acquisition tools and identify areas of optimization.
Monitoring and evaluation of vessels’ environmental performance with regards to GHG study pollutants and Carbon Intensity Indicators. Reporting to relevant authorities and 3rd parties.
Monitoring evaluation and optimization of vessels’ vital machineries with use of diagnostic tools. Development of the Condition Based Maintenance strategy of the fleet.
Development of applications in programming language(s) in order to optimize vessels’ and fleet performance monitoring.
Ensuring compliance with existing environmental regulations and stay up to date regarding maritime specifications and new regulations.
Monitoring, investigation and evaluation of Innovative Energy Efficiency & Decarbonization Technologies and Alternative Fuels. Analysis and evaluation of company’s strategic decisions for the optimization of vessels’ and fleet performance
